Moroccan crafts and a history of ancestral knowledge The first known inhabitants of Morocco , the Berbers were the forerunners in the field of handicrafts especially in the processing of wool (carpets ), iron and silver (jewelery ), various utensils and clay (pottery). After Islamization and the coming of the Arabs of other crafts have developed: copper work (various utensils, tables ), wood sorrel, alfa and clay (pottery ). This craft covers almost all of Morocco and each region has its own specialties, from raw materials found there in abundance. But the most known for their craftsmanship cities Fez ( leather, copper, silver, gold, fabrics), Marrakech (leather, copper, carpets), Essaouira (wood, carpet, silver) and Rabat -Salé (pottery).
Moroccan crafts like other countries, is an undeniable wealth and an amazing variety in both forms, in technical and sets. This richness is enhanced by the modesty of materials is this art and are drawn from the environment. The diverse climatic conditions, natural resources and the different civilizations of Morocco as well as the influences blend with neighboring countries, explain it inherited a wide range of specialty craft.

Metal

Jewelry 

Welded, carved, inlaid, segmented, enhanced coral or precious stones, jewelry has long been in our country, the domain of Jewish artisans. Weaving craft
