Khenifra

Little-known city by foreign tourists, but has big potential for tourism and wild and rare in the heart of the Middle Atlas in nature.

Places to visit 

Medina

Medina is located downtown in the heart of a neighborhood among the oldest in the city. spread on a street a few hundred meters or proposed various kinds of goods and products. It is considered the center of business activity in the city.

Wiwane lake

Sources of Oum Errabia

Oum Errabia is the second river in Morocco, its source (3youne oum Rabi) located at 1240 meters altitude in the region Khenifra, just 40 kilometers from the city. 
You'll find the 40 springs that feed the river, with a dazzling greenery into the Middle Atlas. 



Several tents by the river were established by the locals for tourists, you can rent one of them with a variable price depending on your generosity, it is usually between 50 and 100 DH ( 5-10 €) for the whole day, you can also request a tagine on site, prices are around 50DH tajine (€ 5) or mint tea and local bread (Meloui). 
You can also visit the waterfall and even take a dip in the summer, the transition to the waterfall is a small price 2DH (€ 0.2), and if you have a little breath and strength, you can discover the sources of cascading down the mountain. 
Just beside the cave you will find Umm Errabie, with a depth of about 15 meters, with the bottom of pure water. A landscape not to miss for 10 DH (1 €). 
Magical discover also in the region, such as the river from the top of the mountain areas, the surrounding forest with cedars and oaks, and many other landscapes to discover on site. 

Lake of Agelmam azegza

Agelmam azegza (or Aguelmame Aziza), Amazigh translation of "Green Lake" is a stunningly beautiful lake in the middle of a forest dominated by cedar and oak trees, it is situated on an altitude of 1470 meters and s 'spread over an area of ​​60 Ha. 
Its maximum depth is 26 meters, the region has often precipitation as snow, which may persist between the months of December to March. The temperature can reach -5 ° C in winter to 31 ° C in summer, every season adds a special charm to the lake. 
This is a site classified as a historical monument, as was proposed in the Aqua project and APM (Moroccan Protected Areas) project. 


You can spend all day on Aguelmam and discover the forest and the cave on the mountain side, which is very cold even in summer when the outside temperature exceeds 30 ° C.
