Merzouga

Advice to travelers in search of adventure! Merzouga and Erg Chebbi constitute one of the main attractions of southeastern Morocco. In the ocher desert monumental dunes move and deform over the wind, offering the traveler as bright as colorful spectacle. The landscape becomes increasingly wild gradually as one moves eastward. Family, couple and or even solo, it's a great trip!

Merzouga is a small Saharan village located in the south-east of Morocco, at the foot of the dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Tafilalet Valley. For centuries the region is a crossroads between civilizations of the African desert. Many hostels kasbah-border Erg Chebbi. Some are held by Berber families that will make you discover all the facets of their culture and cuisine.

You can visit the Merzouga region throughout the year. However, we advise you to the winter and spring enjoy a mild climate during the day and cool at night. In summer the days are scorching: for excursions, choose especially mornings and evenings.
