Tafraout

Tafraout is a small Berber town of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas located 180km south of Agadir in the heart of the valley Ammeln amid a circus of pink granite rocks, famous for its colors. Tafraout is surrounded by a myriad of rocks of various shapes, rising above a grove home argan and almond groves and olive trees. The Ammeln, the Berber tribe that lives in the valley Tafraoute, cultivate cereals and many fruit trees, almond trees . Over the years a significant portion of its population is expatriate outside the city and the region and holds almost everywhere in Morocco and elsewhere, shops or other financial or commercial activities. Tafraout is the birthplace of the great Moroccan writer Mohammed Khair- Eddine. The closest Tafraout tribes Ammeln, Tahala Ida Osemlal, Ait wafka, Amanouz, Tasrirt. Located approximately 200km from Agadir Tiznit and 1200mètres perched above sea level, is one of the most interesting excursions for tourists in the area, the scenic beauty and diverse landscape ( palm trees planted olive and almond trees, arid land ...). Tafraout, located in the heart of the pink granite mountains, the city offers its visitors a picturesque site of rare beauty, strange and magnificent at sunset , when the sky glows and glows long before tinting purple and flee into the night.
